Summer Filming Block Enters Final Week
As we enter the final week of our summer filming block, we'd love to thank those individuals and organizations who have made our experience such a success. These include Art Partners Studios, The MoGreena Garden Project, Waste Oil Recyclers, Coatesville Youth Initiative Service Corps members, the Kasitz family, Ms. Pam Depte, Ms. Geri Allen, Mr. Ross Kershey and the staff of CASH, Pastor Montez Jones and all who participated in July's Peace Walk, the Coatesville Police Department, Locust Lane Riding Center, and Jacqueline Carter. We look forward to upcoming interviews with downtown business owners and Tony Buck of Sustainable 19320, as well as covering celebrations honoring the historical impact of Carver Court and the Oak Street reunion.
We will resume filming with a one-week production block in both October and December.
Presently, we are looking for aspiring filmmakers within the community who would like to produce their own segments for the project. You will receive an assignment but have directorial freedom in how you tell the story assigned. You must have access to equipment to be considered, and live within the Coatesville Area School District. Please contact our director through this page to be considered.
We thank Gunny Scarfo for an incredibly generous contribution of $1000, which we will use to provide a small stipend to our PA's from within the community, and to add 4 filming days. Future contributions will be earmarked for our web development and user experience budget.
As always, please follow our Facebook page for the most frequent updates on production and project development. We are grateful for your support! #lifttheville
